Pictures of Sikhs Wearing Things

Jagmeet Singh, an NDP candidate who ran in the recent Canadian election, stands in front of Canadian Parliament wearing a black dastaar, grey wool coat and matching scarf to stave off the wintry weather.

Here, Guru Raj Kaur Khalsa wears one of her trademark white salwaar kameez and a white dastaar graced by a white dupatta which has been affixed with a gold khanda. Holding a long shastar in an elaborately decorated case, she also wears one ring, one bracelet, one wristwatch and her kara rests on her left arm. She also wears a multi-stranded turquoise necklace. Born in 1950s Brooklyn of Greek descent, Guru Raj Kaur converted to SIkhism and has been running various programs in the Sikh community in Vancouver for over 30 years.
